New Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Boast Record-Breaking Range for Family SUVs

Peugeot has launched 2 new SUVs for the UK, the E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range models. With an impressive range exceeding 400 miles, these new offerings are set to challenge perceptions of electric driving, particularly for families who need more space and range.

The big headline here is the range. With the E-3008 boasting up to 435 miles and the E-5008 capable of 415 miles, these models are perfect for families concerned about frequent charging stops on longer journeys. The SUV market has been notorious for offering solid range options, but nothing quite like this, especially when combined with the seven-passenger capacity of the E-5008.

Peugeot is clearly positioning their electric cars to appeal to the mainstream family driver, particularly if you are hesitant to switch to electric due to concerns about range anxiety.

Peugeot E-3008 and E-5008 Specs

Pairing a 230hp motor with a 98kWh battery will offer a strong performance. Features like the 21-inch panoramic i-Cockpit display, wireless smartphone charging, and advanced infotainment systems show Peugeot isnโ€™t compromising on the tech!

Both cars look comfortable, with GT trims offering heated front seats and adaptive cruise control, while the Pixel LED headlights enhance night-time driving. Peugeot is paying close attention to what drivers want on both long and short journeys.

For many, the real test of an electric vehicle comes down to charging. The E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range models excel in this area with 160kW rapid DC charging. This means you can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in just 27 minutes โ€“ a short coffee break on a long road trip. Whatโ€™s more, Peugeotโ€™s smart pre-conditioning system optimises charging in colder temperatures, showing theyโ€™ve thought through real-world driving conditions.

With orders opening on 5 November, and first deliveries set for early 2025, itโ€™s likely these models will appeal to families across the UK.
